My name is Espirito Perez, I’ve spent the past 15+ years behind the lens. I started photography as a recreational hobby while I was in the armed forces to document my deployment overseas. As the war progressed and the missions became more intense, I stepped away from the camera and tried to distance myself from the horrific memories that were captured. After I separated from service, I was encouraged by my loving family and friends to continue the hobby as a form of therapy. I became obsessed with photography as it was an outlet for my recovery and a way of expressing myself. I viewed the world from the perspective of a soldier, a brother, a father, and a loving husband. I considered myself a student of an art form that I would refine over a lifetime. Photography is a talent I thank God I’ve been blessed with that has allowed me to bring smiles, change lives and capture memories for people for years to come.
